WCAG 2.2 AA is the target. This page separates what has actually been checked from what has not, because the difference matters more than the claim.

The target we build to

We aim for this site to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA. That is the target the site is designed and built against, not a conformance claim, and this page keeps the two apart on purpose.

The site is still being built, and no independent audit has been carried out. What follows is what has actually been checked, followed by what has not.

What has been checked

  • Colour contrast, measured rather than estimated. Body text on the page surface measures 17.17:1. Secondary text measures 6.40:1. The cobalt accent used for links and controls measures 5.20:1. All three clear the AA thresholds for their sizes.
  • The skip link works. A skip link is the first thing a keyboard reaches on every page and it moves focus to the main content.
  • Reduced motion is fully supported. If your system asks for reduced motion, animation and smooth scrolling are switched off across the site and no content or action disappears with them. The reduced motion experience is the whole site, not a trimmed version of it.
  • Structure. Every public page has one main heading, uses real landmark elements for the header, navigation, main content, and footer, and shows a visible focus outline on everything you can operate with a keyboard.
  • Layout at four widths. Pages are composed for 375, 768, 1024, and 1440 pixel viewports rather than scaled down from one design.
  • An automated end to end suite runs against every public route. It checks each page has exactly one main heading, that the skip link actually moves focus, that no content is left stranded mid-animation, and that the navigation menu closes rather than trapping keyboard focus, at 375, 768, 1024, and 1440 pixels. It is a structural check, not a substitute for testing with real assistive technology.

What has not been checked

  • No testing with a screen reader or other assistive technology has been carried out by us, and none has been carried out by anyone independent.
  • Article images are published through our content workspace, and if an author leaves the alternative text empty the image is published without a description. Nothing currently forces that field to be filled in.

Until those are done, please read the section above as the honest limit of what we can claim.

Telling us about a problem

If something on this site is hard or impossible for you to use, write to us at support@letsdecodeai.com. Tell us the page and what happened, and mention the browser or assistive technology you were using if you know it. A person will read it and reply, and if what you found is a real defect we will fix it and say so here.

Status of this statement

This statement describes the state of the site on the date shown at the top. It is written by the team building the site, has not been verified by an external auditor, and will be rewritten as testing is completed rather than left to age.
